My father sometimes makes this sweet and spicy sauce for chicken nuggets, though it's also good with other foods, such as broccoli. I asked him for the recipe and if I could publish it online, and he said that would be okay.
a microwave-safe container that you can cover
(We use a plastic box with a lid.)
a microwave oven
Roughly equal amounts of:
butter
(I use plant-based butter because I have a dairy allergy.)
pepper jelly or spicy honey
hot sauce
(We often use Tiger Sauce.)
(We typically use one tablespoon.)
Add the ingredients to the container.
Microwave it until the butter has mostly melted.
(We typically try 30 seconds.)
Add the food to the container.
Cover the container, and shake it until the food is coated.
You can repeat steps 3 and 4 multiple times to coat multiple batches of food. Just… don't keep doing it with the same sauce for days. Yuck.
